=> International nurse day is celebrated every year on 12th May on the birth anniversary of  Florence Nightingle, the power of  Modern nursing .

 

=>This is also celebrated to mark the exceptional achievement of the nurses in the health care unit like hospitals and clinic .

=>A nurse is a backbone of the hospital , will run properly . Her duty is very tough. Her job is to take care of the patients and to assist doctors . 

 

=> International nurse day is celebrated all around the world to increase awareness about nursing as a profession .

 

=> International council of nurse (ICN) commemorates the international nurse day annually on 12th May since the year 1965.

=> Award ceremonies are also held in hospitals where nurse are awarded , based on their diligence to the services. 

                                        

=> The theme of international nurse day 2020 was "A voice to lead -A vision for future healthcare.) 

And for 2021 it might be " Frontline warriors" as the doctors and nurses  are working constantly for the ongoing pendamic .

=> One of the important objective of celebrating International nurse day is to address the concern of growing shortage of skilled nurses around the globe. 

=> This year nurse have shown that they are the true heroes as they are risking their lives to cure the patients and overcome the deadly diseases .

=> The celebration aims to highlight the importance of nurse towards the treatment of patients in the healthcare unit . 

=>They provide proper health care to the patients sufferings from different disease and injuries. 

=> This global covid-19 pandemic has shown the world the important across the lifespan. 

The role of nurses in the COVID-19 pandemic

“Nurses play a very important role both locally and globally. They are on the front lines caring for these patients day in and day out,” says Sands, who has been a volunteer firefighter/EMT for the past 12 years.

“They are able to see what is working, as well as things that can be done differently to provide more effective and efficient care, and offer suggestions for improvement.”
